Since the glowing colors of fall scenery don't seem to last very long, you want to hurry and get out there to take pictures of those beautiful leaves of fiery crimson, golden mandarin, deep burgundy, and forest green. Take time to travel to places where you can photograph trees and other fall scenery, like pumpkin patches. You might have to hike up into the forest to get some close up shots of the trees. Get the birds-eye view. A fresh stream of water winding through a patch of trees would be another beautiful scene to capture.
After you've chosen the location, decide on the best time to take the pictures. Will the location look the best at sunrise or sunset? Take advantage of the time you have and take plenty of pictures. Take photos from several angles, frames and camera settings. Then, you can decide later which pictures to discard and which ones to print and place in the album.
If you want to go where the autumn colors are really vibrant, check out the fall foliage in South Dakota. South Dakota offers a number of colorful fall landscapes like the colorful aspen trees in the Black Hills and the brilliant oak, elm and ash at Sica Hollow. You could also check out the fall scenery at the McIntyre Brook on Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. What could be more beautiful than a crystal-clear brook flowing over the rocks and winding through the colorful trees? There's nothing like the awesome colors of nature in the autumn!
